1930s mock tudor style pub on Shirley Precinct next to Sainsbury's. A large but fairly basic pub. A fair amount of seating, a dart board at either end and a pool table in a spacious area that still has its original wood panelling. A fire escape leads to a small courtyard for smokers. Two handpumps, but only one beer on at most. Free jukebox on Sundays.
Awesome pub, very welcoming, friendly and good prices for beers. Not been there for a long time but glad I went back. New management and doing a brilliant job. 👏
Lovely homely pub, family ran business and dogs welcomed.really good atmosphere.
Awesome experience. Owner, Markis personally made a gourmet burger and his lovely wife was excellent behind the bar serving me a smooth well bodied Merlot from California. The raffle was a nice touch showing comradeship and true friendships. Ladies room was clean, spacious and fresh. Cindy
Horrendous experience, incredibly rowdy and unfriendly people. I had been warned about this pub but wanted to try for myself. I learned that the warnings were right. It's only purpose seems to be keeping all of the unpleasant people in Shirley all in one place...
One of the better pubs in Shirley. Pool table (£1 a go) and jukebox keep you entertained. Live music too (select nights). Decent clientèle for Shirley. This is not a drug-friendly pub (a good thing in IMO). Very happy with service.
