Superb food all. Cooked fresh and you can tell, very friendly staff and the potions are massive. Awesome selection of gins and some. Really nice cask ales.
Had a lovely meal here whilst staying nearby. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and service was speedy. And they have a play area outside for children. Would definitely recommend.
2.5 stars would be fairer I think Friendly but very inexperienced staff. Things like not giving you a spoon for soup, not knowing what a dish was that they had brought you and not knowing what the fruit crumble was ... Despite them saying they had eaten it and it was nice. Quite inefficient. Just lots of little things that made it hard work. But on the plus side the girls were all very well mannered and polite and you can tell they were nice people. I just get the impression they had been thrown in at the deep end without much guidance which is not their fault. They were doing their best. The food was average pub food. I don't like being critical especially with everyone working through the pandemic and doing their best and so I feel its fair to say it was a distinctly average experience.
The Windmill Tavern is a wonderful place to eat. Great choice of dishes for all the family which is fresh and cooked to order. Service is also great with very helpful staff. The windmill tavern itself is a wonderful building off the beaten track, quiet location with ample parking. The interior is very nice and has and been designed to. Offer a warm cost atmosphere.
Very clean and comfortable pub. Nicely decorated with nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. Plenty of room between tables. The service was quick and friendly. Good menu, not expensive, food was good, well cooked and hot. For beer drinkers very good cask beer. 3 pound a pint.
