The Windmill Inn set in beautiful Quantocks surroundings. Very friendly, great atmosphere. We were there for Christmas Day Lunch. I was going to drop one star as I had asked the young lady who served us for extra gravy and it never arrived.... but I wont drop that one start because when I did mention it to her when she came to clear our plates and she had admitted she had forgot all about it and did apologised which I was OK with as I understand it was a very busy time and I fully appreciate all staff giving up their own Christmas Day to make ours a perfect one. Maybe a note to be made for the future to maybe just put out extra jugs of gravy on the tables anyway and then there won't be a problem. So let's end on a good note, friendly, welcoming, staff always had a smile and the food was excellent and couldn't ask for better! Thank you very much for giving up your Christmas Day. If you are open again this year Christmas day I will definitely book and will be back!

On this occasion we were very disappointed with the food(lunch). Firstly we ordered a bacon & brie sandwich and I ordered the gammon and mushroom pie with real gravy. Well, we waited then we were told they could not find the brie so we agreed to have just the bacon. When it arrived the over toasted sandwich dreadful. My pie arrived and sorry to say it was also dreadful. The pastry was like a brick and the filling was terrible. The so called real gravy was not real more like a made up from a stock cube. We will not be going again. One thing was good the bar staff were very charming. They deducted the cost for the sandwich.

Great Inn. Room very spacious and great views towards the sea and Wales in the distance. Carvery on the Sunday was huge although we ordered a standard. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good base for going either way on the A39.

A great place to have a small stay with good food and nice rooms with the best of facilities. A serene and beautiful setting in front of St. Audrey's makes it quite picturesque. We attended as a wedding stay and I can say for sure the rooms are better than St. Audrey's. We had an evening event of dinners and cocktails at the Windmill and we really enjoyed. The staff was quite helpful but for a few small issues which can be ignored.

From the get go the staff were amazing, we were greeted as soon as we entered and offered a choice of tables to sit at. The kids were very eager to go out and play on the park and the staff member who greeted us was happy to reserve the table for us while we supervised the kids outside. They have a great selection of drinks available so definitely something to suit everyone. The food menu was good, I wouldn't say it's the most extensive selection but they had enough on offer to satisfy everyone. The quality of the food was spot on and should we ever be staying in the area again we will certainly be popping back.
