A warm, friendly, independent free house facing the common, with stained glass windmills in attractive bow-windows.
Ths is very much a community pub, with terrestrial TV for sports highlights, popular live music on Fridays and a monthly acoustic session.
Bar snacks include roast potatoes and cocktail sausages on Sundays and there is sometimes a second guest beer.
At the side are covered patio tables for smokers.

Nice pub and Young's bitter on tap, good option for drinks and chat with mates, very friendly service
Stopped in for a pint after a run. Not the most extensive range of beers but Wimbledon pale was very nice. Would love it if they had something from nearby drop project on tap. Friendly service from the land lady (didn't catch her name). Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, would happily come back for a beer here.
Bar doesn't do food but don't let that put you off visiting. Service is very good with competitive prices for the beer and spirits. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Such a lovely pub, Pat is a wonderful lady and the staff are fantastic.
