I came here on a nice weekend away with my friends before Christmas and was recommended this pub. To say it was the best I have been to would be an understatement, the staff were beyond friendly and helpful, Mike and Lisa couldn’t be more welcoming, and the atmosphere was some of the best I’ve experienced! Will definitely be coming back!!
We popped in for beers and bar snacks on a Friday evening. Friendly staff, good wine, nice beers and the loaded chips were the best ever had. Very reasonably priced too, and a nice atmosphere. Outside looks lovely, but it was too cold to enjoy in November. Sat inside in the warm watching the video log fires and the decibel counter instead. Will be back 🔥
amazing atmosphere and rlly great staff especially the one called ester! karaoke is so fun deffo recommend & the events are incred esp open air in Nov (buy your tickets now!)
My 40th birthday party was held at The Winchester and we all had a fabulous time! The staff were so helpful when organising everything in advance, they let me family decorate with balloons & banners, and they were brilliant on the night itself too. We had an area on the top decking reserved which accommodated my guests well with plenty of seating, and we had a lot of fun in the Karaoke room! I wanted a venue that wasn't a closed off room with no atmosphere and I think the space at The Winchester worked really well. I would highly recommend this venue for your special event :-)
Breakfast Their new garden bar and cafe. Had to go check it out on their opening day. We had The Winchester Small Breakfast £8.95 Eggs Benedict £7.95 Drinks Coffee Flat white £2.90 Latte £3.00 Everything is cooked fresh to order. There was a little wait, but that's to be expected being their first day. It's located below their upstairs bar. We enjoyed our first visit as we managed to get the last remaining seats as they were very busy. Our dogs, Freddie and Bobby, liked watching all the action, too.
