March is not my favourite month, did you know that the Anglo Saxons called it ‘Hlyd Monath’ meaning loud or stormy. They didn’t mention cold!
Not a lot to report for February....The Boiler project is ongoing. The Kitchen floor and the flat roof are works in progress. The Disabled Toilet and the Defibrillator are being discussed. No doubt when The Bowlers are back, I will have more to tell you,
The Valentine’s Dance with 2 Shae ( Lynsey and Gary) was a brilliant evening. It was so good to see so many people here and we certainly danced the night away. They are already booked for later in the year! Some ‘Big Thank You’s’ ...... To Rosemary, Pete and Eileen for the lovely decorations and to Nathan our stand in Chef for a lovely basket meal. Lastly to Our Alan who was waiter, he really is a man of many talents. I hope he does really well in the Marathon in Tokyo!
Then there was the Skittles Night last Friday! The Bowlers versus The Rest of the Club. I think there was 50 of us and more Bowlers than the Rest of the Club. Once again we had a very enjoyable night, with a meal provided by Mike and Fiona. It was a fun night full of laughter and as expected the Bowlers won......but only by 9 points. So we will be doing it again.
The Bowls Committee are having a discussion to decide if the next event on 24th March should be Bingo or a Quiz. So Watch out for details soon.
There have been no suggestions from Members regarding the King’s Coronation!!! New members continue to join each month, 26 were approved in February.

ENTERTAINMENT
I will start with the Quiz Night. As you know we do not have a Quizmaster, and as I write no-one has stepped forward to take it on.
SO...for the next couple of months at least, I will attempt to do it! I apologise now if I’m not very good, muddle my words, lousy at pronunciation...just bear with me....Please!
So it will be the 2nd Wednesday in the month. There should be less cars in the car park and noise levels will be lower. So let’s give it a chance and see what happens. If you don’t like it....tell me.
