Cosy and warm with a wife selection of beverages. A beautiful huge garden. Bowling alley and also pool tables available. Sparling clean and spacious with beautiful shabby chic decor. Parking available either in The Marketplaces or else behind the High Street.. a short walk away from the pub itself.
A really busy evening out .we enjoyed the atmosphere.
We were made very welcome by Chrisy and the regulars plus the 3 great Danes are very well behaved. We are here on business and staying at Redwood Lodge and will be back again in the future
Really lovely old school pub. Nice pint of 6X and nice warm welcome. Recommended if you are looking for a genuine traditional boozer
On the Cask Mark Ale Trail, this well established town centre establishment did indeed serve up 20 fl.ozs of excellent ale. It's not a sophisticated place, probably hasn't changed much internally for many decades, doesn't serve food, but the denizens are affable and the cellar is well kept. A 'must visit' for all those 'on the trail'
