After more than two years of closure we are delighted to announce that The Old Bell reopened its doors again on 11th April 2022, under new management and Brand of Wiltshire Inns.
As part of Wiltshire Inns, The Old Bell will join The Swan Hotel in Bradford on Avon under the same banner.
The Old Bell Hotel is a charming 14th century coaching Inn located in the Wiltshire market town of Warminster, on the edge of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Just a short drive to the beautiful city of Bath and a stone’s throw to Longleat – home of the UK’s first ever Safari Park and one of Britain’s most impressive examples of high Elizabethan architecture.

Amazing Thai food! Great atmosphere and service and staff have lots of love and are knowledgeable about the food they are selling and serving! Salt and pepper deep fried Squid was my Fav! ,😋
From the outside it looks lovely and very inviting. Inside is lovely too. This was our 3rd visit to Warminter, so we decided to head into town for some lunch instead of cooking. Well I wish we had stayed in and cooked! We both ordered sirloin steak. Both medium rare. Both meals came. First I thought the presentation was awful. Coleslaw on a lettuce leaf as a salad 🥗 hmm. OK. My steak arrived and had been sliced in half to see if it was cooked. You don't do that!! A chef should know if it was medium rare! Well anyway first we weren't even given steak knife to cut into it. Second when we did eventually manage to slice it, it was barely blue! It could have easily walked off the plate!! It was awful. And they have the audacity to charge over £22 for a 8oz sirloin steak! Awful. Definitely WON'T be going again!!
Visited Warminster from Australia (for work) and got booked into The Old Bell. My room was comfortable with ample space. The bed was comfortable as well and I loved that they provided still water and a kettle in the room along with delicious hot chocolate. I got the breakfast both mornings and it was delicious both times. Also had a good dinner the one night. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Warminster.
Fabulous pub, serving authentic Thai food. Jungle curry (not for the faint hearted) & sea bass were amazing. Great choice of drinks, plenty of room including large enclosed courtyard. Dog friendly throughout.
Lovely old coaching in with great atmosphere. Pretty courtyard with beautiful flowers in tubs and hanging baskets. Clean comfortable bedroom and hearty breakfast included in the price. Shame I could only stay 1 night. Very helpful staff.
