About us

The Grosvenor Arms in Hindon is a real gem. Steeped in history, the pub was once a thriving coaching inn for travellers making their way to and from London, and is now one of only two pubs that remain out of the original 17. In some senses not much has changed, albeit there are fewer horses (and pubs) and more cars. There’s still plenty of beer, perhaps a little less debauchery, more rooms (9) and glass tankards as opposed to metal ones. Set in the thick of the English Countryside, there is an abundance of good rambles, cycle routes and local places to visit. There are also plenty of great pubs and cafes nearby, too.

Excellent service! We ordered beef burger and cauliflower salad. The burger was brilliant but the salad was a little bland for my liking. Portion sizes were generous.

Booked here for lunch on the Saturday between Christmas and New Year. Food and staff were amazing. We were a little late to our table and ordering (catching up and travel excitement) but the team were very accommodating and helpful. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the food was served with good speed. The haggis scotch egg is to be recommended but honestly everything was lovely from the pork loin, lamb rump to the fish &chips. Dogs very welcomed too.

This is a great pub with a good menu, and traditional gastro meals, but also some surprises, which are all good. The Menu is well priced and the drinks selection is fine as well. There is a discretionary service charge which is a little steep, which I would expect more from a three rosette restaurant, but obviously you can remove this if you want to, and this shouldn't detract you from visiting.

The most charming pub I’ve ever been to, the staff were charming, the food delicious, the bedrooms were gorgeous, the value just unbelievably good. To have that quality breakfast with stunning drinks to match and such a lovely room for the price in this day and age is just unreal. Well done guys what a place!

We popped in for an evening meal as its close to the main road. So glad we did, fish & chips was beautiful, perfect batter & super tasty. Burger & chips just as good, best burger I've had in years (I don't eat many). Service was very friendly & professional, beer & food selection were top notch. Will definitely visit again & very happy to recommend this place.
