Situated on the picturesque Kennet & Avon Canal The Barge Inn offers excellent food, great Wadworth beers, an extensive wine list and much more. As beautiful in the summer to spend lazy afternoons relaxing by the water, as it is in the winter next to the cosy log fires with a cup of coffee or tea. We have free WiFi access and offer a great range of teas and artisan roasted coffee (and hot chocolate!). Why meet in a coffee shop where you have to find parking, pay over the odds and put up with noisy overcrowding? Why not meet in a pub, relax with friends or hold a business meeting - enjoy a great coffee made by our fully trained staff and maybe even treat yourself to a sandwich. Rain or shine our warm welcome awaits! Space for dogs in the bar areas.
If you're planning a meeting or get together, we can cater for small gatherings in either of our separate dining areas.

The food deal (£50 for four people having 2 courses from the set menu) was excellent value. The food was very tasty and filling. The drinks prices seem disproportionately expensive. The restaurant was quite cold and would benefit from heavy curtains at each window, kept drawn during winter evenings. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
A very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Service was good.... My fellow guests who had the steak said it was delicious and one of the best! ... I had the Vegetarian option which was good, however a little more choice for Vegetarian diets would have appealed to me more. Choices were very limited. Overall a great evening 👌
Lovely string on the canal.. V.dog friendly, only had drinks but menu looked good and very busy.! Mainly a food Pub.. limited Bar space for drinking only. Staff lovely very friendly. Prices good average great cocktail 🍸 menu too.! Easy access for dog walkers etc.. along canal. Plenty of parking space on property.
Lovely place to sit by the side of the Kennet and Avon canal with a drink and watch life float bye. Food looks good but can't comment as didn't have any.
Wonderful pub with beautiful views of the canal. Food was delicious. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. We came here twice during our week long canal boat holiday and both times were outstanding.
