We’re very proud of our beers here at The Smoking Dog. We have a selection of real ales on offer, as well as continental beers. These include our very own cask ale, The Smoking Dog Amber Ale - brewed especially for us. There's also an excellent selection of wines carefully selected to offer great quality at reasonable prices. We have a delicious range of seasonal serves including cocktails and alcoholic warm drinks perfect for the time of year!

Really good food, friendly service and a wonderful garden. The options for vegetarians could be more, but overall it was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended 👍

Just had the most amazing pork tenderloin in black pudding sauce. Partner had the chicken en croute. Great service by fantastic new owners, food was amazing, prices reasonable. 100% recommend. If you've not eaten here recently, you're missing out.

A little pub located in the heart of Malmesbury, it's as picturesque and filled with character as the historic town itself. Walk in and you're greeted by walls of old, exposed gray stone, merry, mismatched wooden tables and chairs and a pretty little bar that has a hefty collection of beers and ciders on tap. Very Ye Olde English Pub without being kitschy or trying too hard. Does a very good Bangers and Mash and Ham, Eggs and Chips. Valeria, the bar manager is friendly and pleasant to chat to, and makes sure you're comfortable. Overall, a nice, cosy place to be in, especially when it's cold and windy outside (as it often is in England :)). Oh, and the loos are sparkling clean. Will be back for sure!

The Smoking Dog is a super friendly and cozy pub . The staff are really friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent. The meat and cheese platter was epic. The pub feels like a social hub for Malmesbury, you can really feel the community spirit when you’re here. Great place and will 100% be coming back here again.

My partner and I were passing by and we stopped by for lunch. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Even though it wasn’t busy due to the restrictions, the atmosphere was great. We had the corn fed chicken and roasted hake and they were both wonderfully cooked.
