We made a booking for 5 people for lunch. The waitress told us they only had one chef and a number of meals were not available. The waitress was sullen and not bvery attentive. The meals took over 30 minutes to arrive. The quality of food was very average. Would not recommend this pub restaurant.
Went for Sunday lunch as part of a party of 10 people. The whole pub was busy. We were attended to almost immediately for a drinks order. The food arrived for everyone, and looked really good. Plenty of it. It was also very tasty. I had the chicken. Only negative for me personally was the addition of a small pot of bread sauce on my plate. I removed this and put it to one side. But why was it there? The puddings were good. A fairly decent selection. I had an affogato. Only one scoop of ice cream. I have been in Italian restaurants where one gets two scoops. However, overall it was really nice well cooked food and a nice atmosphere.
Was here for our work Christmas meal this year. Food was really good. Staff brilliant. Cannot fault it. Special shout out to Shea who was a server, super friendly and engaging and also Gracie behind the bar who couldn't do enough to accommodate our wishes. Everyone made us feel so welcome, I know that should be standard but this service, In my opinion, really was outstanding. That was honestly the best Christmas meal out that I can remember. If the management look at these reviews then look after these 2, they are a credit to your establishment.
First time back at the newly refurbished Northey Arms. To be honest didn’t think it had changed that much. Good was great, service was a bit slow and the menu greatly reduced- didn’t have trout, full fat chips, scotch egg, risotto and one other I think. Due to this we almost went home. However the baked Camembert was delicious and we both had chicken Kyiv which was very unusual but delicious
Lovely to be able to enjoy lunch at The Northey Arms after its refurbishment. The place looks wonderful and felt like a warm refuge from the cold wet day outside. Friendly greeting from staff, great food and service (as usual). We have always enjoyed eating here and look forward to returning in the new year.
