We stayed here just after xmas for 2 nights. Arrived quite late after an awful journey in the dark and heavy rain. So just wanted to relax and enjoy a cosy evening meal. But were told the chef had left so we had to go out in bad weather to look for somewhere to eat down dark country lanes we didn't know. And the same on the second night. Surely there should of been another chief to step in at times like this. We paid a fair amount so we're also quite disappointed in our very small and dark room. We went in the bar for a drink. Me not being a drinker wanted a coffee. But was told they had no milk to make me one. also no ketchup for our breakfast. This may of all been as the owners were away and was close to Xmas. But it wasn't cheap to stay so no excuse really...we went away to relax but got home feeling quite stressed. I must say though. The young bar man in the afternoon was lovely and tried to accommodate as best he could. And lady serving breakfast was great too. Not sure we'd stay again though as we were quite dissapointed 😔

Just home from a fab stay at The Kings Arms. We were given an upgrade to the King's room, it is HUGE. I'd pay the extra for this room next time, though I'm sure the other rooms are beautiful too. The room was spotlessly clean, the linen beautiful and of good quality and the bed and furniture extremely comfortable. The staff were all amazing, friendly, helpful and attentive. We don't consider ourselves high maintenance guests but I get the feeling that nothing would have been too much trouble. The food. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a beautiful meal. We opted to have our main first followed by a starter which was no trouble at all. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. Several cuts above your standard pub grub though there was a burger or fish and chips on the menu too. Breakfast was excellent. Quality food, cooked, presented and served by staff who clearly care. My husband and I rarely visit a place twice, just because we like to try new places, but have both agreed we would like to come here.

Lovely experience staying to visit the Bath Christmas Markets. Staff were warm and welcoming. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a cosy and comfortable stay on the outskirts of Bath.

Loved it! Visited the area for a day of hiking and stopped here for lunch. It came recommended and I can see why! Stunning building (with an incredible tree surrounding the front door!), beautiful interior and a gorgeous sun trap garden out the back. The food was absolutely delicious! A bit on the pricier side, but well worth it — I’d rather pay a little more for great quality. Superb, very friendly and attentive service from George and Lulu, they’re a credit to the team! It’s great to come to a really decent pub with a nice feel to it. Warm and welcoming, not snobby or chaotic. Currently enjoying a glass of wine before I hoof it back to the campsite. I live relatively nearby, so I’ll definitely be coming back again! :)

We had previously dined at the King's Arms and it was absolutely awesome. We decided to try their Sunday roast on the strenght of the regular daily fare and that proved a winning choice also. I was keen on extra meat so got the Roast Beef with a serving of Pork added. This proved to be absolutely delicious cooked to perfection and probably the BEST Sunday Roast that we have enjoyed in Britain
