Join us for a drink in our snug for a pint by the fire place surrounded by comfortable furnishing and right next to the bar its the perfect place to lose a couple of hours.
The Barge inn is an 18th century pub was brought on in 2017.
A comfortable, relaxed experience on the Frome road with lots to see, sit in the bar for a drink and a chat with our friendly staff, potter around the garden with a pint and sit canal side and watch the boats go by. The Resturant is available every day for that something special meal that looks onto the garden.
With a log fires in the bar areas, and a patio area you will always have a seat with us. Bring your dog and cosy up with some treats from the staff and a snack from the bar.
Sat between Bath and Frome we are the perfect stop for a light lunch on your travels. Take the dog for a walk around the breath taking Bradford on Avon before coming back to snuggle up for some home made food, for a perfect afternoon.
We are a passionate family run pub business and try to instill this into all our pubs, Mixing a little bit of personalilty with a tradtional setting, this Grade II listed building certainly does have a modern feel.

Amazed by the excellent quality of the food! The Chicken breast with blue cheese & mushroom sauce and the Venison & pork sausage meals were restaurant quality. The open fire and warm hospitality made for an unexpected pleasure. Thank you to all the staff at The Barge Inn.
Pub backs on to the canal, used it this week as street parking seemed to all be permit controlled. Good size car park which you have to log your car reg at the bar. Great to sit right by a log fire to warm up. Staff were nice and the food was excellent and good value.
Love rustic atmosphere. Really helpful server. Fabulous food! For me, especially the risotto - 5 stars. Great idea to offer smaller portions, especially at lunchtime.
We stayed here for one night as we had hired a barge for the day. I love older quirky buildings with character which the Barge Inn is being a listed building. I love the fact that it is dog friendly, we had a lovely evening meal and found the bed so comfortable. We chose to have a light breakfast which was lovely. We found the staff very efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
There is no car park so we needed to park on the road. We called on Sunday afternoon but not looking for a Sunday Roast or big meal. Fortunately they did ciabata rolls and a lovely bowl of chips Perfect. Friendly service and loved the decor.
