Staying at the adjacent Premiere inn we had two dinners & one huge breakfast here with great machine made coffee. Very very impressed with the whole slick operation, the food was excellent too. On our first evening it was evident there were not very many staff and our visit was slightly marred by being told a table would take "a couple of minutes" but after 20 mins I had to remind them but we were soon seated. If it will be 20 mins please tell me. But it has to be said the price of my beer was deducted from the bill.
We had a really lovely time the food was good and the atmosphere really good. The waitress was superb, she was very jovial and a joy to chat with singing the umpa lumpa song. She improved our visit unfortunately I've forgotten her name.
We were staying with Premier Inn next-door and they advised us that we didn't need to book a table in advance. When we entered the restaurant, it was heaving due to multiple Christmas parties taking place. The manageress was excellent, and upon checking her schedule, she found us a table very quickly. Our waiter Terry was excellent and looked after us throughout our meal, even though it was hectic. Our food arrived and drinks were brought to our table in good time and with a cheery smile and good banter. A big thank you to the whole team for fantastic service throughout 👏
It's a nice option if you want to try English cuisine. Especially, I'd recommend their English breakfast. Just only for £10 you can eat as much as you want for breakfast. Also if you're here on Sunday, then try their Roast Sunday menu!
Loved the food and prices there. Also Wednesday is pie night for £8.99 you get to choose from steak and ale mash and peas or a serving of 3 smaller pie steak and ale lamb and mint and chicken Tikka with mash and peas absolutely marvelous and you get a dessert as well. Plus that night was 2 for £10 cocktails. You can't go wrong Other nights we went there was equally great
