Had a pleasant evening here, meeting old workmates, cheap drinks, and food.
Great place, typical wetherspoons good vegetarian options and quick service as well as an easy to navigate app. It’s a fairly spacious pub and when it’s quiet it’s lovely, the only reason the atmosphere doesn’t get 5 stars is because i do have to avoid it on certain days because it gets very loud and crowded but that’s just down to personal preference i only go there for the food so i like it quiet and empty but of course if you’re going there to drink it’s great.
We visited The William Wygston in August 2023. A generic and traditional looking pub, but fairly welcoming from the outside with plenty of flowers and flower baskets. Inside the pub is small but well decorated, having been refurbished in 2015 and with plenty of seating throughout. A group of us went for breakfast. I had a large breakfast which was substantial, fortunately I was hungry. I had the unlimited refill tea and coffee to accompany my meal which, is great if you are a coffee fanatic like myself, they have the usual cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate and various flavours of tea including breakfast tea. The breakfast had eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and toast, all cooked beautifully and was very tasty. The atmosphere was calm with lots of chatter from other patrons but not too loud that you couldn't enjoy your own. Everything was clean and sanitised. The staff were polite and friendly. One thing to consider is that you have to pay for parking in the public car park behind the Lloyds Bank across the road. Up to 2 hours is a pound, so not too bad. We left feeling full and content.
Great location at the heart of Wigston, the staff were very polite and friendly. It is a Wetherspoons and compared to others I like this one a lot, the vibe is pretty good. Food is the usual Wetherspoons food, which can be a bit hit and miss
