Having not been here in some years, we decided to pop in with friends, heaving of a lunch time around 1pm. Kids meals are a little on the thin side if you have children that can eat a decent sized meal, so we opted for the adults versions of the kids meals which really helped, they enjoyed a pudding as well with extra toppings for a few more pence, this was simply amazing for our kids and they loved picking their own choices to tailor their pudding to their tastes. Food has much improved since my last visit and I was pleased with this, choices of sauces with meals is good and I applaud anyone who doesnt serve a salad with a sauce already applied, options are always appreciated. The serving staff were lovely with the kids, and very polite and friendly, despite it being so busy nothing was too much. I would come again especially on a Saturday afternoon.
Great value, comfortable pub. Always good service, especially Verity. She’s always welcoming, happy and a very good worker.
Apparently it now takes 40 minutes to “warm up” food when you order on the ap, and didnt bother letting us know- just said if we’d ordered at the bar they’d have told us. It’s not even that busy. I think they might have missed the order. They’ve only got 1 waiting on.. hopefully “Tim” will be bankrupt soon… yes I’m hangry. *edited to 1 star as it’s now been 50 minutes. And no apology.
Came in about 3pm on the 18th Oct after a stressful day at work to be welcomed by a lovely polite waitress with blue hair (didn't catch her name) she was so friendly had a laugh with her. Very professional and courteous. She's a major asset to the place
