At The Wild Rabbit we support British farmers and artisan producers and our menu reflects this.
Awarded a Michelin star in 2016, our Executive Chef Tim Allen uses the finest seasonal ingredients to create dishes that celebrate traditional British cooking with a contemporary twist.
Our rooms and cottages combine pared back style with honest creature comforts: excellent mattresses, luxurious bathrooms and fine linen sheets.
Each room is different, taking their names from the British countryside, and illustrated with whimsical lino-cuts we commissioned by Hugo Guinness.

Wonderful Sunday Lunch. Rabbit to start was delicious. Beef for main, succulent and cooked perfectly. Treacle tart for pudding, a superb spin on an oldie. 2nd visit, there will be a third. Thanks.
Oh my, we only had drinks, but will definitely be back to eat. Lovely atmosphere, roaring fire, and very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend, but advise you should book in advance. If visiting in summer lovely beer garden.
Well it’s a beautiful place and GREAT SERVICE! Room exceptional! I stay at a lot of hotels and I was worried when I read the reviews I have to admit, BUT what a load of waffle! The hotel is EXCELLENT. We stayed for one night and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and well presented! In fact the rooms are better than a lot of rooms where I have stayed for a lot more money. Hotels smells beautiful and fires are always attended too, keeping it nice and warm. Don’t be put off by the reviews as they are honestly waffle. In fact I cannot believe people write such negative things. I am very fussy but this hotels was stunning. Well done all, great hotel and beautiful hospitality! Very impressed and thanks for a lovely stay! Thank you
Really beautiful cosy pub, perfect English countryside stopover. It’s exactly what you think of when you think of a lovely but posh pub in the country. The food was amazing, portions needed to be bigger though. It was my birthday and i got glass of bubbly and a small dessert. The food did take over an hour to arrive, the service was amazing but i had to take a star off for the wait. Chocolate tart was insanely good. Would come back but the portions left something to be desired.
