Ordered some breakfast porridge with fruits and Honey. They accidentally gave me syrup and when I tried to see if they could replace it one woman with black hair around 50 years old persisted to tell me that it was honey. I have this for my breakfast every day and knew 100% fact that it was Syrup. Incredibly unprofessional and dangerous approach to food lucky enough I’m not diabetic or even worse allergic or els this could have literally been life threatening. I took the pot of syrup to the bar and asked them to try it to see for them selfs but they refused.
This was a fantastic hotel pub where me and my friend went for a drink, welcoming from the very outside with the lush design and greenery! Staff were friendly in their service and pointing out the right counter, where we were served Zombie pitchers well made. Design is pretty through the vintage theme including chandeliers and Christmas decorations too, striped seating is comfortable and cleanliness had been enforced!
Not a huge carpark manged to squeeze my van in Need to enter registration details at reception for free parking No one on front desk says pick up phone still no one came popped to the bar to get someone. Quick check-in all info given No lift just stairs Room an ok size bathroom tad smaller Bed super comfortable WiFi good Shower hot and powerful Location is about 10 min walk to the centre of town. Breakfast not included Excellent menu and excellent value food Would definitely stay again if in the area
Had a good stay, room was well equipped and warm. Food downstairs was well priced and quick. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were a touch pricey perhaps, but would stay again !
Both stayed and ate/drank there. Both good value. Slightly north of the town near a large park and convenient for the impressive Haigh Parkland. Went to a rugby game and overall enjoyed my visit. Would stay again. Nice to have on-site parking.
