Good food and drinks, great games such as darts and pool. It also has a great TV. Not to mention a dining room as well!
The only problem I had was where the toilet was as i couldn't open the bathroom door without it hitting the toilet bowl. Plus when I sat I was wedged between the wall and the bathtub with no room to move. Really could have done with either swapping places with the sink or make the bathroom another foot wider. I also couldn't reach the light switches when laid in bed, other than this the place was lovely.
Had wonderful lunch in their lovely garden. All three meals were really good and service very friendly. Would strongly recommend. Can't comment on hotel experience but have rated five stars as couldn't figure out how to review the 'pub/dining' experience alone.
What a delightful few days we've just spent at the White Rose, Askrigg. Efficient, well run with extremely pleasant, helpful, welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The meals both breakfast and evening were of excellent quality. We will certainly return in the future.
We have just stayed for 5 nights at the white rose. The rooms are clean and comfortable although to some they might appear to be dated. We love the hotel as it's central for most things , you can park your car and not use it again as there's walks from the door. The breakfast, you are given choices and cater for vegetarians. The only down side we experienced was there was only one vegetarian dish on evening menu. There's other places to eat,as you can't have the same dish 5 times. The staff are really nice and they go out of their way to help. We will be going again .
