Been here many times now, consistently a great experience all round. Sunday roasts are amazing, definitely the best pub food in Watford. They also do a fantastic vegetarian roast. We also recently tried the desserts which were really good. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the pub is very family friendly, they have some games and colouring for the kids around the side of the bar.
Best Sunday roast in Watford. We came around 4 pm few times and the service and the owner is always very nice. Best book in advance for Sunday Roast as it sells out very quickly. This pub won Watford Observer Award 2023.
Hands down the best pub I've visited in a long time. Why? They have really good food, it is prepared with love! The best service - all caring about you. And very cozy atmosphere, everyone will find the best spot for them to have a pint. I've found mine! And I will be back ♡
Great atmosphere, great hosts and service and good food. The owner is a really nice person and is always smiling and ready to help you. We were in the UK for just 12 hours (doing the Harry Potter studio tour) and wanted to have few beers and dinner before our flight in the evening - this place was among the top 5 rated pubs in Watford and I could see why. Highly recommend the White Lion!!
Best Sunday roast ever and even had a vegan option! Very cozy pub and friendly staff! Would definitely be visiting again when in Watford!
