We had planned to eat here, however, only ended up having a quick drink. There was no heating on and it was freezing.
As a walk leader I/we get to know. the better pubs. I've been using this pub for over 10 years, for group bookings too and Carl and Claire always make it a success. Game of pool too!
First time visiting here for about 15years after moving out of the area for a little while. Having moved back locally I regret leaving it so long before returning. The service from Claire was the same great friendly and welcoming service that I remember. Great selection of local beers. The food was fantastic and the portions were epic. Really cannot fault anything. Will definitely be making the journey back again.
My husband and I were recommended the Sunday lunch by friends. We were not disappointed, really lovely food. Good value for money. We only live locally, so will deffo be back 😋
First time eating lunch here. I had sausage and chips and my other half had Steak and kidney pudding. Both absolutely delicious. Friendly landlady - had time to chat. 😊 Lots of history belonging to the pub. Definitely coming back 👌🏼
