Good afternoon - my Mum, brother and I stayed at the White Horse, on Saturday 9 December 9 2023, whilst visiting family in the area. It was a shame we only stayed the one night as we would have loved to have eaten in the restaurant. The rooms are really quite charming with good quality linens and everything one could want from a good selection of drinks to a lovely patio area. The bar and restaurant are really cosy and our breakfast was delicious. The produce is of a really high quality and we loved the fact the details of the produce are displayed in the bar area. Just popped in for Sunday lunch so rooms n/a. Had 2 platters for the four of us. Great meal - very impressed. Good beer and other drinks. Good service. Thought the desserts were a little overpriced but were very good. Thought the acknowledgements to the suppliers was a nice touch. Worth a visit!
We had Sunday lunch at the White Horse today and the food was absolutely delicious. Some of the best cooked roast pork I've ever had and everything was hot and seasoned beautifully. Thank you to all the team and we will definitely be back soon.
The room was clean, but if you had mobility issues the step into the shower was very high. Our bedroom door lock was broken, room 4 so door could not be locked, the breakfast was very good and all the staff were friendly. It was a great location for us and a great view out onto fields from our room. Tea and coffee tray in room. And comfy bed.
As a large group of adults and young children it can be difficult to balance the needs of both, however, the White Horse was excellent. The outdoor spaces were fantastic for the children to run around and the service and attention to detail was exceptional. For our meals, the timings were prompt and the food outstanding. Every member of staff we met went out of their way to ensure our experience was 5*, which it was. Planning a return for further family events and will be recommending widely. Huge thanks.
