A lovely oasis in the heart of Romsey. A place to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy country town. The restaurant has nice decor. If I had to make one negative comment it would be that the menu seems to have 'dumbed down' to pub level whereas it used to be a bit special with a decent set lunch.
I haven't stayed at the White Horse but 12 of us had an excellent lunchtime experience recently. Everything was top notch including the pre lunch drink in the attractive bar area. Situated right in the middle of Romsey, it's definitely a place to experience.
I had my wedding here last month and couldn't of wished of anything else. We stayed the night before in a deluxe double room and couldn't get over how big the room was it was beautiful and spotless, I really liked the little extras such as chocolates in there. Our day it's self ran so smoothly the staff was so helpful, the food was amazing and came out so efficiently, all our guests were commenting on how beautiful the venue was, we only had minor decorations as the stables it's self is a lovely area. Couldn't recommend enough Heather, Susanna and Poppy as well as all your staff were amazing!
Dawn and Hans Wedding Breakfast 23rd September 2023 Firstly both my new wife Dawn and I would like to say a massive thank you to Suzanne, Heather and all the staff at The White Horse Hotel in Romsey for making our special day that much more special. You where and are so professional in everything you both, and the food for our wedding breakfast was out of this world. When booking our big day with yourselves, we did advise them, it would be a day like no other packed with fun, laughter, magic, singing waiters and lots more. All the staff where are part of that day. If anyone is thinking of booking there wedding breakfast at The White Horse Hotel in Romsey, my advise to you, is do it. You will not be disappointed 5 Stars is not enough for this place and the staff I would give more but I can't. Amazing Kind Regards Hans and Dawn
Seems a pleasant place. It was relatively quiet when the town was very busy. There is plenty of space between tables which helps create a peaceful atmosphere. The food was very good and beautifully presented, it is a little more expensive that regular cafes but the surroundings and peacefulness are worth it. The telling point is that the staff all seem happy. Ideally located in the Town centre.
