Welcome to the White Horse
Situated in Jackson Bridge the White Horse was used as the Pub on the Last of the Summer Wine . It has a lovely secret beer garden and is proud to stock local cask ales and serve home cooked traditional pub food. Five cosy letting bedrooms with ensuite facilities. You will receive a warm Yorkshire welcome from Christine and Lauren.

My family and I went to the White Horse for a birthday meal, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was picture perfect in a quiet but beautiful place, where we all enjoyed ourselves. I had the Steak & Ale Suet Pie with chips and mushy peas, it was delicious and very filling. I would recommend this establishment for anyone wanting a peaceful meal. I didn't stay in any of the rooms, so I can't rate them.
Where do I start... reception on arrival was warm and welcoming . Rooms are clean but poorly decorated, and the shower is AWFUL, no power, and no regular heat control. The bed was comfy, and excess noise in the hotel doesn't help. Breakfast ...... Such a frosty reception from the lady who looked like everything was an effort . Food was bland and mostly microwaved, and the fake HP sauce didn't help . Would I recommend this hotel HELL NO there are better places to stay for Β£98 a night
It had only just opened for the day and we were the only two people in and the atmosphere wasn't great; we tried to elicit conversation with the landlady but drawing teeth would probably have been easier! Other reviews paint a nicer picture, maybe we were unlucky. A marked contrast to the atmosphere in both Boot & Shoe Inn and The Red Lion which we also visited on the same day, they are both close by, and are highly recommended.
Went for Sunday lunch and it was average at best. Β£15 for a one course average Sunday lunch is, in my books, not the best value for money. Sorry, I'm sure many people will enjoy it but unfortunately I will be trying elsewhere. Still might call in for a beer now and then and the service was excellent π
We called at the White Horse yesterday for tea. Great little pub with very good food and drink. Our party had a combination of pies and burgers, all of which we enjoyed.... I can especially recommend the Mexican burger π Also great to see some local beers on tap πΊπ
