About us

The White Horse Eaton Bray is a character pub owned and managed by Tom Dunnell. Tom purchased the business in December 2011. The kitchen has an EHO star rating of five which is the top rating and described as “very good”.

The property itself dates back over 300 years and many of the timber beams you can see in the restaurant and bar areas are original dating back also to the 1700’s.

Food is prepared by Lee Mark O’Dean our head chef who presents food in a “modern English" style, Lee Mark uses only the finest locally sourced ingredients for his menu and the team of kitchen staff are dedicated to producing the best food at an affordable price.

Food at the White Horse is freshly cooked and naturally this means that your food may take a little longer to arrive at your table. While you wait for your food why not enjoy a glass of our fabulous Prosecco, some olives or a starter?.

A pleasant village pub with a good range of basic food. Had Sunday roast which was cooked well with crispy but not undercooked veg. They were happy to provide a smaller portion for a smaller appetite too.

This is a lovely village pub and resturant. Lots of outside tables to chill out on after a hard day's work or have a family meeting or meal. It nice to meet the owner as this was my first visit. Lots of parking as well..

A decent enough pub for drinking. Guinness & Aspell cider on tap. Nice beer garden at the back which is an evening suntrap. Opens at 6.30pm & shuts at 9.30pm on a Thursday, not sure about the rest of the week.

Lovely and cosy pub with very good food and moderately priced. We really enjoyed our meal here!

We took a walk along the footpaths through the fields and stopped for a drink. A lucky coincidence there is live Jazz on the first Sunday of the month. I think starting at 5pm. We had a lovely time. If you go just for the music, I'd check first in case that changes! Also, food on Sunday is 12-4pm only. It's improved since the last time I went a year or 2 back.
