In 2013 Hendrik and Julie took on The White Horse in Kings Sutton, following their joint dream to run their own pub restaurant.
They fell in love with The White Horse and the local area the first time they came to look around and when you arrive at the picture postcard village green overlooking St Peter and Paul’s Church they are sure you will feel the same way.
Their vision is to provide consistently excellent food and service in the familiar surroundings of a country pub with bags of character.
The Pub’s striking solid oak bar is the focal point when you walk through the front door and in the colder months the open fire crackles away in the background. In the warmer months the patio area is the ideal place to enjoy an alfresco meal and stay to watch the sun set behind the Church.

We made a booking here but forgot to tell them I was 'with dog' so we had to sit in the bar area but I was really happy we did! We sat right by the fire and had loads of room around us so were very comfortable. The food was all delicious and well presented. The only issue I had was with some of the bread that came which was undercooked but this was only a couple of slices in the breadboard we ordered to start with. There were some interesting sounding vegetarian options and even though I'm not vegan, the dish I chose was vegan-friendly and really flavoursome. The biscoff cheesecake to finish was a big hit... insanely good. This is a cosy pub in a lovely little village setting which was the perfect spot for lunch after a very chilly and muddy walk!
What a beautiful visit, lovely food, beautiful mulled wine, brilliant service and lovely ambience! Thank you to everyone at The White Horse for a lovely meal after a long day at Warwick castle on the way home to London 🥰👏🏽
Lovely place for a meal. Compared to some in the area this is expensive but the food is amazing and worth it, of restaurant Quality. Dog friendly and staff friendly. Nice open fire, clean and decor lovely.
Had a delicious lunch here yesterday. I started with the Black Pudding & Cumberland Sausage Scotch Egg, which was SIMPLY SUBLIME. Followed it with the Confit Duck that was also perfectly done. Nice selection of wines and beers, attentive, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere as well…what more could you want???
Decent village pub restaurant. We came in for a quick lunch. Service was efficient and friendly. Menu was comprehensive, w pizza, starters and mains. We had fish & chips, mushrooms pizza and buttermilk fried chicken. I would say they are fine but not particularly memorable. We may come back if we happen to be around and it’s time for a meal
