Good food, and reasonably priced. Beer is kept well.
One rule for different customers. Landlord advised my brother there’s no menu and to read the menu board. Informed me only serving Sunday roasts so sister had nothing to eat. Table behind us given a paper menu and accepted food that weren’t Sunday roasts. Landlord also wasn’t happy with us to ‘muck around’ and pay for our own orders because it’s easier for him to take one bill. If you’re not a local to this pub, beware for the stares and arrogance.
Good village pub serving well cooked, authentic pub food. We all went for our individual favourites- lasagne, pie, fish and chips, and burger. Really good and thoroughly enjoyed. Proper pie too - none of this casserole with a lid rubbish. Pastry on all sides!!! We were looking for a new local with the demise of two local favourites - this will do nicely!
Just had lunch here. Lovely, tasty home cooked food. Totally recommend.
Went to this pretty village and found this pub for lunch. Everyone in was so friendly to us as outsiders and my little dog was welcomed too. Fire alight on a cold day made it very homely. So comfort food ordered. Had a steak pie, homemade and honestly, the best slice of pie ive ever had! It was delish, with roast potatoes and 2 veg. Would definately recommend 👌
