About us

Based just a short 20 minute drive outside of Bristol, the White Hart is a beautiful country pub that opens its doors to everyone. Based in the picturesque village of Littleton-upon-Severn with garden views of the River Severn & Wales.

Dating back to the 17th century, this pub is based in the bones of a farmhouse and today still boasts the same rustic, rural feel that it did all those years ago. Holding onto many of its original features, guests can sink deep into a cosy sofa or take stroll through the venue’s cider orchard in the sun. The bar serves a range of real ales, and is home to their own traditional cider brewed only a stone’s throw away in their orchard. Couple this with a hearty menu of classic British gastro pub treats, and you’ve got yourself the ideal location for a lazy weekend with the family.

Just perfect! We were out for a walk along Severn Beach and decided to have a meal before returning home. We received a very warm welcome from the chap behind the bar and made to feel at home right away. The drinks selection was excellent and they also provide bowls and treats for the dog. I had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger and fries! good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. We shared a lemon posset for dessert which was beautiful. I would highly recommend.

Being honest, Having looked forward to the roast it was a bit mediocre..Meat was too done, potatoes not fully cooked and thin gravy. Veg all really lovely though and friendly service on what is evidently a busy day however we were one of the first tables. Gorgeous pub but little details missed such as table decorations seem to have been forgotten about since Xmas, grimy water in the flowers, candle not lit all dampen it

We had a very enjoyable Thursday lunch. There were three of us and a small dog. We were made very welcome and had a table in a room with a wood burner. Excellent service and food. Although not packed, given that it was a Winter weekday lunchtime, there was a great atmosphere. Highly recommended and we look forward to our next visit.

A very disheartening and disappointing Christmas day experience. On arrival we were sent into the small area/ room of which there was no lit fire, it was very cold and lacked any Christmas atmosphere. No music. There was a TV which had a picture of a fire burning above the none lit coal burning fire. My fingers were actually numb. We waited 25 minutes before we were offered any drinks and another 45 minutes before the cold starters arrived and this was after we prompted the waitress several times because we had been waiting over 35 minutes for the starters to arrive. The young waitress who served us was passively aggressive, stressed and rude. We noticed that later on she put her coat on and walked out of the restaurant finishing her shift early. This was just after she told us we would have to wait 10 minutes to speak to the manager. When we spoke to the manager he explained to us that two of the chefs hadn’t turned in for the day he was very smiley and offered us compensation for our drinks. He promised us the dinner would be out in 5 minutes we waited a further 25! We arrived at the restaurant at 13:00 and our Christmas dinners came out at 14:45. They were none edible. No pigs in blankets, hard Brussels sprouts, tough meat, cold Yorkshire's. There were several other people in our area who were unhappy with the food and service and there was a table opposite where two ladies waited over an hour and a half for their starters. When they were eventually brought out they were the wrong orders. Some of my party had driven over an hour to get to the destination today. We left halfway through our Christmas dinners and did not have dessert. This is a disorganised un atmospheric, poorly run Christmas day venue, that serves cold tasteless food at £106 per head.

Shocking service.communication - non-existent . Food cold and inedible. Staff were mixing up orders. And we were told 2 chefs had not come, plus we had got forgotten. No heating. No atmosphere. No music. Staff clearly did not want to be there. Extremely overpriced! I would rate this whole Christmas Day experience with a zero.
