About us

The pub is situated on the north-western edge of Tewkesbury town centre on the Bredon Road, this good-value, family-run pub attracts a varied and very friendly clientele. Handily situated close to the marina, it is popular with river users. The open-plan L-shaped bar offers room to play pool and darts; there is also a skittle alley. Live music features every Sunday afternoon between 4 and 7. The six guest ales change frequently and include offerings from smaller and local breweries, whilst a range of traditional Thatchers ciders are also offered as well as at least three guest traditional ciders and perry’s.

Come and have a drink in our wonderful beer garden and dogs are always welcome… We are also the only pub in town with its very TARDIS

The White Bear prides itself in serving a selection of the best fine real ales and traditional ciders in the country, great beer and customer satisfaction are paramount. Our SIX Ales are selected from both local brewers and further afield serving a varied list of exquisite ales from breweries such as:

Great Western, Gloucester, Sadlers, Butcombe, Malvern Hills, Enville, St. Austell, Skinners, Salopian etc.etc.!

We also stock at least six traditional Ciders, including Thatchers Medium and Thatchers Dry , as well as at least three guest ciders.

We also now stock ‘WHITE BEAR FARMHOUSE CIDER’ 7.2% Medium Dry produced exclusively for us by Barbourne Cider of Worcester.
