Gorgeous pub with a long history. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Excellent staff and delicious food!!
Coming from Germany, we couldn’t have imagined a more idyllic spot to fully take in the beauty that is Argyll and Bute. The staff couldn’t have done more for you, they were absolutely brilliant. The food is in a league of its own, the portions are hearty and beyond delicious. My wife, my daughter and myself couldn’t have been happier with the atmosphere, hospitality and care that the staff and the wonderful owner gave us. Our room was pristine, the bed, bathroom and amenities were top notch. We are already planning to come back and stay next spring. Thank you so much for an amazing experience for us and our little girl.
Sometimes you're just lucky enough to stumble upon a place you don't want to leave. The Whistlefield Inn for me is one of those. The drive three is a joy of its own and if there's a place called nowhere, The Whistlefield Inn is in the middle of it. Lisa and her partner clearly put their heart and soul into it, with Staff, Tom and Iona a joy. The bar is small and cosy, our room, the same with beautiful views over Loch Eck. The payment for the view is worth it. There are walks on the doorstep, and plenty to explore locally. You won't be bored We had a very warm welcome and would love to return. Our few days there have been wonderful.
Really appreciate that there are clearly marked vegan options on the menu- especially having more than one option rather than the token one thing is really lovely and stands out. Dunoon isn’t the most abundant with vegan options just now so it’s nice to know they’re here!
We had dinner in the restaurant while staying in the next door lodges. We very much loved the food! Especially the fish cakes 😍. The service was very friendly and I was happy to be able to drink 0% beer. Wines were goodaccording to my company. And then the beautiful view from the restaurant table over the Loch. We will be back this week.
