I've been a fan of the 'Top Wheel' since 1977 when my then girlfriend (now wife) introduced me to its charms. Always a traditional pub, the wheel is always a welcoming place with a village feel without feeling exclusive to the locals.
This pub makes you realise that the people and the lovely landlord Julie and Neil make this pub work. Its not the Humphry Smith outdated rules or the expensive beer or the building. Warm friendly and fun
Great evening at The Wheel. The staff were very professional and friendly. Comfortable surroundings and the beers were spot on. Ultra clean rest rooms. Will be visiting again.
This pub is excellent,love their own brands of beer and spirits!! A typical range of a Sam smiths pub ale!! Run by a great couple they are so welcoming open every day call in and give it a go!!! Also a great sun trap when its sunny!!!
The Managers Pete & Mark are very likeable & professional couple who try there best to make it work,doing various projects in the pub for all their customers old & new. I can honestly say that the pint of mixed I have in The Wheel is always very good & sparkling all the time,never varies, my wife swears by the Taddy lager which makes for a great experience every time we go in, and the price also helps because. as everyone knows Sam Smiths is not what I'd call expensive in this day & age.Long may they stay.
