Low set old building next door to the police station recently decorated. Steve Bull has been landlord since early 90's and has been mayor of Ashbourne's twice, we serve 2 regular real ales Marston's Pedigree and Bass with a 3rd pump with a different guest beer each week, The Wheel Inn is well know as the home of the Downwards for the Royal Shrovetide Steve Bull turned the ball up in 2011, we aim to be the number one pub for sports having 4 TV's showing all sports from football to F1 on SKY SPORTS and BT SPORTS we have many sport teams dominoes, pool, football, darts and outdoor skittles, situated in town centre with the rear of the pub leading onto the bus station and being dog friendly pub it a great place to bring the family with warm friendly and welcoming staff, free wifi, smoking area, jukebox, fruit machine and a games machine also home of Ashbourne FC.

Good old fashioned pub, drinks quite cheap
And what a laugh we had, cheap drinks, great atmosphere and a fun experience
Proper pub, great ale, great atmosphere and staff and a landlord who knows what he's about.
Very nice traditional pub and good prices, nice outdoor courtyard out the back, friendly locals too. Walked past many a time...so glad I called in.
This is a cracking little old-fashioned pub. Excellent Marston's pedigree and draught Bass at very sensible prices. Locals are very friendly and full of banter. Landlord is a legend and rightly proud of his association with the Ashbourne Shrovetide football match. Do pop in for a pint if you get the chance.
