Second visit here and I am pleased that we have this place locally. Amazing food selection, including a decent separate vegetarian/vegan menu. Service was spot on both times, once being a busy Christmas service. Could really do with a milk alternative for coffees would be my suggestion for improvement.
This is the first time I have visited this pub for my mums birthday, yet I was rather disappointed. The staff are friendly and quick, but the food I felt was not great at all. We had to send back three camembert to the kitchen because they were still hard and not melted enough.
We as a group of 5 people decided to pop in for a bite to eat on the way back from gates garden centre as they was too busy. The food was delicious. I had the Chicken breast burger with the onion rings and chips and it was so nice. My friends had the lamb shank, the vegetarian lasagna, the fish and chips etc, the food we all agreed was brilliant they had the puddings but mine was enough so didnt bother but all portion sizing was brilliant. The staff who served us from the second we walked in was kind thoughtfull and went above and beyond for all 5 of us. She was a true asset to the wheatsheaf pub. I will be visiting again and would highly recommend this establishment in it entirerty.
We stopped of here for a bite to eat and what a joy it was Place is nice village type of pub Staff were very polite and friendly with good service as well Would recommend if your out that way for a stop off
What a lovely place to have meals and a drinks. We had a lovely Sunday Roast for four with Gins and a good pint of Abbot. Staff are lovely and customer focused in delivering an excellent service with a smile. Our meals were served with seasonal vegetables along with gravy.
