We are a well established traditional public house, situated just a couple of miles outside of Doncaster citycentre. We pride ourselves on our warm Yorkshire welcome, and on the quality of service and high standard that you expect from an independent hotel stay.
However, we are more than just a hotel, we have a Restaurant with a fantastic reputation especially for it's Sunday Carvery; we support local musicians with regular live performances; and we love sport and invite you to join us in our Sports Bar where live events are screened on our huge video wall.
We also have our Lounge, a traditional Snug, as well as front and rear beer gardens.
We cater for celebrations of any kind with room hire, entertainment and food, so please discuss any of your upcoming events with us, such as Weddings, Birthdays and Baby Showers, Club Meetings, Conferences, and find out what’s included in our individually tailored packages.

Just had a private party a week ago for my grassroots football team and the experience was second to none in Doncaster. The room was perfect, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly (service with a smile). The food was super and the whole experience was a pleasure, we even had our own private bar at no extra cost. They allowed the kids on the pool table, darts and they even let us bring an Xbox and hook it up to one of the TVs so the lads could have FIFA on as well. Cannot recommend highly enough and we're hopeful to book outside area for the club presentation night. Simply brilliant, thank you!
The staff were extremely friendly, hearing strange noises from the room behind all night. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom door handle was hanging off and the lamp did not work.
Lovely big room and bed, very comfortable. Loved having a fridge also filled with water(nice touch) milk and chocolate biscuits. Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast, presented lovely and tasted delicious. Would definitely return.
We had a lovely stay here. The staff were really friendly and our room was great. We had a delicious breakfast too! Highly recommended.
As a pub and food place it's 5 star. Breakfast was generous, hot, cooked well and excellent value for money. All staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The bedrooms were big but need a refurbished. Linens were excellent but furniture and fittings need a major overhaul (as at Sept 2023)
