The Georgian listed building has been licensed since 1896 and is situated on the beautiful island of North Uist which forms a part of the Western Isles and faces out onto the Atlantic Ocean, next stop USA!
The cosy traditional pub has a loyal following of locals and visitors alike and has pub quizzes, and regular traditional music nights. During the summer there was a very popular mini beer festival!
Popular with cyclists, walkers and shooting parties, this friendly pub has a traditional atmosphere. The peat-fueled stove sends out warmth on cooler nights.
Ales are supplied from the Isle of Skye Brewery with Skye Red being available all year round with two others during the summer, and one in the winter offering alternative ales which are rotated.
A range of bottled beers and ciders are also stocked.
Colin and Eilidh Murray took on The Westford Inn in 2015 and have made a great success of it. A well run pub catering for both locals and visitors.

Popped in for a gin and some Scampi Fries with my beautiful wife. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. The staff are excellent. Will definitely be back soon.
Lovely little pub we found. Warm greetings from the lady behind the bar and the owner when she came out to say hello. We were the only ones there at just after midday but that was fine. Would love to return one day when the locals are in. Ordered the Pie and the Monkfish Scampi and both meals were really nice. Will definitely return next time we’re on the islands. My husband tried the local ale and really enjoyed it. Lovely to see lots of local produce from the islands and Scotland stocked behind the bar.
Really nice atmosphere and food was so tasty! We got the haggis, loaded fries and the pie. Portions were huge! Also dog friendly.
A nice pub with good food and ale. I especially enjoyed the roast beef and sticky toffee pudding
Rustic pub atmosphere with TV in bar. Wholesome but slightly expensive food. Book a table in advance especially at weekends.
