We all choose soup and sandwich combo. I had mushroom soup which was lovely and cajun chicken sandwich which wasn't the best , chicken was rubbery ,I also asked fir handcooked chips that were on the menu but i got frozen,also had coffee and cake which was nice . Staff member sitting in corner on his laptop with people coming and going to his table . We only came here as Allan Water Cafe and Nicks were closed. Don't think I would return. Staff not very engaging or friendly. We sat next to fire that soon went out , would have been nice for staff to keep the fire going on a cold January afternoon.
Visited for the 1st time and I really enjoyed our evening the food was superb the staff were all very friendly and helpful will definitely visit again.

Probably becoming my fav place to go to sit by a cosy fire and eat good food - and probably this is the home of the best cheesecake in the world!
4 of us visited here on a busy Saturday evening for an evening meal. Food: the food was brilliant. Wellington was incredible as were the burgers. Very well presented and decent size portions. Skinny fries with parmesan were a particular favourite! Service: great service, had to wait a bit of time between receiving the bill and paying but it was busy so understandable. Staff very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Credit to the venue. Atmosphere: really relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual evening meal. Parking: private parking is available but also plenty of free on street parking nearby. No issues at all. Price: for the quality and quantity of food and overall experience, I believe this place is priced appropriately. 4 people, 2 courses and 2 drinks each approximately £30 per head. Top highlight(s): skinny fries and sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely return and easily recommend to anyone in the area.
