About us

Recently refurbished, and dating back to at least the early 18th century, this pub has a very large public bar, containing a pool table and dart board. The restaurant is a separate room, serving traditional English pub fare from the Greene King Meet and Eat menu. There is a regular house beer, Western Ale 3.9%, supplied by Greene King, and occasional guest ales. The pub has a large garden with an extensive playground area. There is also a patio with a small covered area for smokers. A monthly quiz night is held, and the pub has a darts team. One notable point of interest is the war memorial to Rivenhall Airfield on the premises.

Nice friendly pub. Allows dogs, nice garden area for outdoor sitting & park for children to keep entertained. Pool table 🧡

Had a lovely meal Wednesday evening as normal at our local but the service wasn’t the usual standard we normally receive. The girl on duty was more interested in the children playing in front of the bar and what was on her phone then serving us, Such a shame as we always enjoy the food and normally receive lovely service from the girls on the bar. Hopefully will be better next time as we do like to support our local Pub every week.

Not a bad pub if u like waiting twenty mins to be served 😞 Food is the same as you would get in hungry horse or weather spoons but more expensive. Rosie behind the bar is on only fans no one pays for it, ask anyone in the pub and they'll send u all her videos for free. btw shes not not good looking and shes fat but if thats what ur into crack on 🤣 pub is generally empty as i think everyone in the village has been banned or has boycotted the place. Kids are not actually welcome here although it says its a family pub and has a toy machine inside. But keep ya kids on a leash so you dont also get banned. Do not even bother using the toilets cause if u come out of them in the summer with hay fever u will be banned for life !

What a hidden gem this one is! Popped in with a friend for a chilled out drink, lovely bar staff could not have been more friendlier, great selection of lager, Stella on tap win, win for me. Drinks were very reasonably priced too - under £9 for 2 pints in 2023 is very good! Ordered a side of cheesy chips and food was piping hot and tasty. 100% will be back to visit this local again very soon. Thanks for the great hospitality.

We had a lovely evening in Western arms. The sharing platter came piping hot and the cider selection was good as well. The waitress has been very attentive. Well done.
