About us

Producing exceptional craft beer for the local market, we support the initiative to reduce food miles in the supply chain. Many ‘national brands’ are transported long distances and suffer from poor storage and handling.

Westerham Brewery Company has revived many of the much-loved flavours of the old Black Eagle Brewery, which closed in 1965 following the catastrophic consolidation by the ‘Big Brewers’ in the 1950’s.

We use only the finest English winter malting barley. Our malts are supplied by Crisp Malting of Fakenham in Norfolk and our coloured malts are produced by French and Jupps of Ware in Hertfordshire. Our beers contain up to seven different malts to produce a wide range of beer styles and colours.

We also host regular events, including street food at the brewery every weekend (please see "events" on our website for more details).

Westerham Brewery is taking part in Cask Ale Week 2018, where we are offering a free 1/3rd of our Scotney Green Hop Ale with every purchase of a tasting paddle of Westerham Brewery Ales.

Went evening Saturday night. Quite quiet, so easy service and relaxed visit. Did the beer samplers, shared with my partner - really good ales and in perfect quantities - we tried 6 in total, good job we were using taxis. Food very cheap, very good but minimal choice, but I didn't mind as it made ordering easy. Looking forwards to returning of a Friday for the pizzas. To summarise, wonderful beer, massive selection of it; food a bit more limited but still more than good. Many thanks to the staff as well, they certainly were attentive.

Went here for a Ducati Owners Club meet. Okay, this place is not about the car park but in the day there didn't seem much on offer. Toilets and coffee were all right. Uninspiring buildings that would not have me rushing home to say 'we must go here together some time and visit the brewery'.

Came here yet again. We came to watch the rugby and were able to get a 'front row' table. Had an enjoyable couple of hours sampling most of the Ales and a couple of lagers. Will definitely visit again when staying locally

Visited for lunch, sat outside under the canopy, had to order through an app, frustrating as not sure why places need to know your phone number, address and email address just to order a bite to eat. Would much rather order through a person and not give away personal details. Food Menu is petite, enough of a selection though. Items are quite pricey for what they are. Drinks had a decent selection. Had to pay £3.30 for gratuity on the bill, when considering I did my own order and when the food was bought to the table (20 steps) the person didn't bring any cutlery frankly I'm not sure what I was paying for. Food tasted nice, was hot, full of flavour.
