While in Wetherby I thought I would pop in for a drink as I used to work here in the 1980's. The pub is now closed with a notice looking for new managers, looks like anothr victim of Sam Smith's management.
We always enjoyed this place in the past because you feel a sense of it's history and it's a decent good value pint but now this establishment operates a no mobile phone policy which in our opinion was too controlling because along with it's no swearing policy the atmosphere feels abit like 'Nanny State' gone mad. Very hard to relax in a pub where you feel like your every move is being monitored and judged upon, just a shame that we all can't be treated as responsible adults.
