Came in on Sunday afternoon with family, food was absolutely horrendous, staff didn’t look like they wanted to be there at all. We went into the wacky after so the kids could play and the place absolutely stunk. The toilets were an absolute state and smelled of urine.
We go quite regularly as a couple of with our adult children. If we ever have issues they are usually resolved. The menu was restricted on our last visit which I wasn't told about until we got there and I rang to book?
Had lunch my my mum mid week. I had the tandoori sizzler, which was delicious. Mum had the cheeseburger. We finished off with sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble and custard. It was all lovely and fresh and very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We quite often enjoy visiting Walnut tree. It has good price and delicious foods. And has indoor play area for the kids which on peak days it might be busy and worthy to book-in in advance. Also has a place to sit and watch games on tv and enjoy the views through the windows. We prefer to dine at the restaurant and later go to the play area. You have an option to order and dine at the play area but from our experience... kids focus on going to play and barely sat to eat and food presentation is different and would say smaller portions? And in ocasions something missing on your plate. We had very small steak served and gammon not the same as it used to be before but still..watermouthy delicious foods.
Called in for a spot of lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and at a great price 2 main meals for under £12 plus drinks just over £15 in total the staff were super friendly and helpful and curtious
