I went to see the Ragdoll's and have a three course meal, the place was so full I thought how am I supposed to get a meal that will be hot. I was so very surprised, the meal was beautiful and hot and exceptionally served it will be in my book of recommendations for definite. Thank you for such a wonderful time
Came here for an evening function. Arrived at lunchtime, had a very pleasant sandwich for my lunch of beef, mushrooms, onion and gravy. My room was in one of the bungalows. Very clean and spacious, ample sockets, walk in shower. Breakfast was good and included in the price which was 85. I thought this was great value. Ample parking, accessible throughout. Staff were fantastic.
Xmas do with family 8 Dec 2023. Would not recommend. Overcrowded, no room whatsoever to move between tables, not to mention the poor position, jammed into a tight corner. Overpriced, the entertainment was poor, someone just dancing about playing a Saxe over Xmas music. The food was OK but again not worth the money. The staff did a good job considering the obismal conditions they had to try and work in, hats off to them. Needless to say we won't be back next Christmas. To make the venue legal for next year the management need to consider quality before quantity and take at least 33% less bookings. Thanks to family for saving the night with good company. No stars ⭐
I recently attended a works Christmas party at Kings Croft Hotel and had a notable experience. Though I didn’t stay in the rooms, the event services provided an insight into the hotel’s amenities. The dining setup was a bit cramped, with tables and chairs too closely packed, restricting movement. The prawn cocktail starter, while tasty, was disappointingly small and heavy on mayonnaise. The main course of turkey crown was dry, save for the delightful roast potatoes. Dessert involved a queue, which was slightly cumbersome in the crowded and warm room. On a positive note, the bar service was impressively quick, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, adding a pleasant touch to the evening. However, the music and dancing commenced quite late, around 11 pm, which meant I had to leave early due to a long drive home. While there were enjoyable aspects, particularly the staff’s service, there’s room for improvement in event management and food quality at Kings Croft Hotel.
Amazing hotel with amazing grounds and views. Its easy to see why this is such a popular wedding/event venue. They do amazing event nights too, which are good fun and seem to be very well organised. The staff are approachable and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
