The hotel itself is a lovely hotel and I always stay here when on business but it wouldn't necessarily be my choice. The bedrooms are spacious and clean, I never sleep well when here as the bed seems to have dips. If you're like me and want a hot shower you may be disappointed, the shower needs 5 minutes to warm up before stepping in and then at best it's warm. Hotels need to move away from the slow push button hair dryers. The food is the best thing about the hotel It is very tasty and plenty of it. The staff are amazing and will have a laugh with you and are accommodating, the manager Alan on the other hand very rarely smiles. Overall a nice hotel for a night 👍🏼
As a present, we had an overnight stay the rooms are fresh and clean with tea and coffee in room. The guest lounge has a coffee machine which was a lovely touch. Included was a 2 course dinner in the jacobean pub varied choice we had nachos and prawn cocktail for starters, followed up with blade of beef, belly pork, beef pie and I had a sunday dinner couldn't eat a pudding as so full. The rooms were lovely and warm slept like a log, breakfast was a continental with a full English lots to choose from and excellent service. The grounds are immaculate and a pleasure tonwalk round.
What a stunning venue. I attended a wedding here recently, I'd never heard of the place prior to being invited but I found it easily. The signposting internally was easy to follow and the room was set up beautifully for both the service and meal. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was beautiful and evening buffet was one of the best for hot and cold and variety. I won't be checking my bank account for a while as my bar bills were quite high, obviously of my own doing.
A fantastic hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff are friendly and can not do enough to make your stay memorable. The rooms are clean and spacious, as is the hotel in general. The Food in the Jacobean pub is exceptional. Highly recommended for weddings, events and short breaks.
I had a very nice room, perfectly clean and well laid out. The hotel is quite old and some of the floors are a bit uneven and there are lots of corridors to go through, so expect to get a bit lost or confused! The stay was excellent, staff are all very friendly and helpful. The pie was excellent and the breakfast even better, superb food, well cooked, well presented and lots of it. I highly recommend the Rogerthorpe Manor.
