We have not been in for a long time, so called in Sunday around 5 it was very loud with sport on TV and young footballers enjoying themselves, the young lads having a good time but we couldn't hear ourselves talk. It is now very much a pub for younger ones that enjoy watching football and drinking. They have removed John smiths and Guinness to cater for their younger clientèle which is a shame if the older generation want to call for a pint. It was buisy, loud and unfortunately no longer for us. We won't be returning anytime soon on our Sunday trips out.

I know efforts are being made to upgrade this pub and they are to be applauded for that but and it's a big BUT, there are multiple open stinking bins at the rear door. Attracting all sorts of vermin. Letting themselves down there.
Good pub with good atmosphere when sports are on. Varied selection of punters inside and the booze flows nice and cheap-like. Good do in here
A nice pub in a small vilage of kirkburton in huddersfield 1mile away from the emmily moor mast the public house has just been refurbihed with traditional ale and good friendly atmosphere and log burnig fire
