We’ve made significant investment into the building, from cellars to kitchen, to bar & toilets, to sun terrace and the new outside lounge. Our aim was to retain great people, real hospitality & the neighbourhood vibe.
Gone is the dark interior with sectioned off restaurant area and drinking area. We’ve created an open plan space, airy & fresh bar, subtle burnt orange leather & light grey undertones, natural woods & steel fittings. A gorgeous anti room & sun terrace, with the newly conceived outdoor lounge down stairs, keeping guests warm & dry to the rear of the house.
From 12th September we will be serving brunch, Friday-Sunday, cakes, pastries and house dishes, all scratch recipes, with honest fire pan cooking. Open coal grilled, ethereal foods that salivate the senses, perfect accompaniments to real ale from the kitchen Brigade.

A great little pub & bar and a wonderful addition to the Idle night life scene. Terrific atmosphere, super friendly and efficient staff and great clientèle. Certainly worth a visit and then a return visit. Definitely a delightful pub & bar.
A great micro-brewery pub that is at the centre of the community - great service, staff and facilities inc beer garden.
This is a great venue. Very particular style and really stands out in Idle. Round the back is a mini brewery where you can learn to make beer and even make your own version. Great space with garden for a party. The coke i has was really flat and at 2 quid for a half very expensive for a flat one. No ice nor lemon either. Good free car park across the road.
Great spot. There is a great selection here and vibe and people are all sound. Really worth a visit if you are in the area. There is also a separate function room for hire which is also highly recommended. Big screen and comfortable seating for small private events.
Lovely owner made me feel really welcome and held a conversation with everyone there the whole time. Great selection of beers at appropriate prices and the owner hand picked each one. Decor is really really nice and he has kept a lot of features from the old Drapers shop. Deceiving sized building can fit loads of people in. Great for idle and can't wait to go back for a pint.
