We have been a couple of times before, and were extremely pleased. We both had lunch deal of Ham, eggs and chips. It was absolutely delicious, especially the ham which was succulent. However, we took a couple of friends with us on the date above and had the same. Only this time the peas were quite crunchy, and my ham had so much grisel and fat in it, it was awful. I like the fat on ham, but this was chewy and horrid. Not at all up to your previous standard. We did complain and the bill showed a refund for the main course which we were very pleased about. We will think twice about coming again.
Service was good. Food was good apart from the steak which was a bit tough. Ordered the mini pudding and tea. Oh no you had run out of tea bags so had to have large pudding. Man then went out and bought some tea bags so after finishing pudding was presented with tea. Only problem was I didn't get charged for the mini pudding, the large pudding and a tea instead. Also we never got asked throughout our meal if everything was OK. The bill came to almost £200 .
Nice lunch. We ordered via the qr code, which took some time, but once done the drinks arrived very quickly and food followed shortly after. Good service and nice food. My mixed grill was great and the small piece of steak cooked exactly as I requested. And the Christmas Ruby ale was excellent.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at the North Star on Thursday evening, and the experience left us with nothing but praise. From the new menu to the impeccable service, every aspect of our visit was a delightful surprise. Rachel's recommendations were spot-on, and it was evident that she took pride in ensuring that each dish was tailored to our preferences. Her attentiveness throughout the evening was impeccable, without ever being intrusive. It's rare to find a server who strikes the perfect balance between being professional and personable, but Rachel did just that.
Service is super quick! Food comes out quick too and its fresh and piping hot.. nice atmosphere in the pub too and it’s clean unlike another pub near by.
