I chose The Star as the venue for my partners surprise 30th birthday. The venue is a brilliant space with private toilets and outside area for guests and Free to hire!!! I could not recommend the team more, right from booking they couldn’t have been more supportive and accommodating, allowing us complete free reign over the space, letting us come and test out spacing loads of times before the night and in the time before the party and just going above and beyond to make us feel special. The team made the surprise part perfect and were all part of the process, and on the night helped us constantly with clearing up as we went, making the atmosphere positive and energetic and constantly making sure everyone was having a great time. The Star is the best place for events and I couldn’t recommend enough. ‘Sorry for throwing you into your party’ 😂😂😂
Staff were absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating for my partner’s birthday, not to mention their wallet-friendly prices!! Would highly recommend, love the place! Aaron and Dani were amazing servers!
Celebrated my daughters first birthday party here and what an amazing time everyone had. From arranging to hire the function room right up until the party was over we was made to feel very welcome. Amazing friendly service from Sarah and Aaron. They couldn't of done more for us. Extremely happy with how the day went. If you're looking for a good sized function room with a bar and ability to play your own music through their sound system this is the place to go! And the drinks are very reasonably priced too! Thanks again, we will be back!!
We held our annual company awards evening here on 5th December and we’re extremely pleased from start to finish! Aaron was super helpful from my very first enquiry, and made it really clear from the get go that nothing was too much trouble. We hired our the function room, which was free of charge - sometimes these alone could cost around £200 so this was a massive bonus. The food van outside was arrange personally for us as well which was just another little touch that really made us feel welcome! Really looking forward to working together in the future to support local charities, and of course return to the pub for future events! Thanks so much team 🤩
We hired out the function room at the Star for our son’s 1st birthday party on a Saturday afternoon and it was fantastic. Aaron and Sarah (the landlords) went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for it to run smoothly, from letting us come in early to set up, moving tables around, to lending me things I’d forgotten. I was able to connect my own music to the Bluetooth which was great too. It was very clean, quick service at the bar and the function room was perfect as it had a separate entrance, separate toilets and a private outdoor area that was undercover. We had soft play for the kids there and they were happy to have this set up. Everyone who came was really impressed and I’d highly recommend for any upcoming events you have.
