I booked a table for 10 on a Saturday night & instead of getting one table, we got two separate ones, bit of an inconvenience but I can live with that… no worries. I then went to order food, baring in mind half the menu is burgers, you would’ve thought that they had all the ingredients to make them.. no. They had no buns. When I asked the Blonde lady behind the bar what she could do about the issue, I received the dirtiest look & no bother to help resolve the problem. The young brunette girl behind the bar had the worst attitude problem. She was passing out evil looks to customers all evening, waving her arms about when there was a problem and clearly only wanted to serve regulars. The uniform there is disgraceful, I’d like to eat my burger (with no bun) without having to see cleavage in my face, if I wanted to see that sort of thing, I would’ve gone to hooters. A change of barmaids is needed immediately, apart from all the above, all good.
Love these characterfull Greene king pubs, lively pub and location, really pleasant and nice staff. Not tried food, outside area lovely.
Arrived for a afternoon out . Decided to have a meal at the railway pub . Even though it was 12pm there was a few people about ,nice place for ordered arrived very fast . Looks good tastes good as well . Recommended
I went here 5 times in 2 weeks and I there's a few things that need to be known: 1. Aside from a pizza place in downtown London that had the best pizza I've eaten, this was the best food I've eaten in all of England. I found that in England, it is extremely hard to find "very good" food. I spent 2 1/2 weeks eating out for every meal and this place was the best. 2. The service was very good here. 3. The beer was very good here. 4. Even the customers here were great. I ate 5 different meals here and every one of them were REALLY good. If I were a local I would absolutely frequent this place!
Really great bar! Food is good, I had the barbecue chicken, my friends had the burger and fish and chips. All were very tasty. There are darts and billiards to play as well. The staff are friendly and the service quick. Everything is set up very well and seems clean. The price is reasonable as well.
