Rebuilt in 1933, The Ship Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful sailing village of Itchenor.
Being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the pub provides the perfect pitstop for walkers enjoying the nearby coastal footpaths and cyclists navigating the Salterns Way which travels from Chichester to West Wittering via Itchenor Village. Being only 200 yards from the picturesque Chichester Harbour, it is also popular with sailors both local or those staying on a visitor's mooring. Hoping the new team keep this up! Great Spanish theme night, Flamenco guitarist very good and lovely chap putting alot of effort into singing a personal happy birthday to my relative. Staff nicely attentive, and even added birthday candles on the desert. Nice touch was the manager checking we were happy at the end. Shame the lovely Castle ale wasn't on and a brandy glass would have been nice against the tumbler. Great pub and look forward to trying the new menu soon. 😀
Looked for a venue near Itchenor for a spot of lunch, as near to Bosham. Lovely spot, warm welcome, pub has comfortable surrounds. Food was delivered piping hot and tasty. My wife had the steak n kidney Suet dish, served with mash and onion gravy, and mine the 'flat iron steak'. Both dishes tasted superb. The dessert, sticky toffee pub with ice cream was light in taste and texture, top pud. All the staff could not help enough with our meal and sundries. A big thank you for making our lunch a memorable one. Highly recommended. See you soon.

Fantastic dog friendly pub in a great area for walks. A vast selection of beers and ciders shame we were driving and not staying in the area. Food lovely. Very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend.
We reserved a table for 15 of us. We had a great table, the staff were really friendly and lovely and the pub is in a great spot. It has plenty of outside space and seating and parking at the venue (just register your car with them). They also allow dogs. We preordered our food and it was great. Kids loved the pizzas and we had a great range of options, only wish they had a Sunday lunch menu, but maybe they do that in winter months? Just a short stroll down the road is a small harbour, with a small ferry that pops over the water. All in all a great location, great service and food and would recommend.
