Lovely little pub. Not too busy. Really friendly staff, fast service, clean everywhere, and good food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
We 5 Loved their Sunday Roast, I'd say it was the tastiest I can ever remember having & the portions are Huge ! Staff very good, no complaints whatsoever, have live music there in the pub area, different talented artists, later there was karaoke 🎤 but the restaurant area is separate & quieter even though you could hear it, it didn't bother me, one of my friends liked the singer earlier, the other thought the karaoke was out of tune later
I had the vegan burger, which was really tasty. The guy who served us was really friendly. A very nice evening.
Local pub to where we stayed, it was not surprised that the owner didn’t recommend the place. The mains are quite expensive so are the kids ones. We had a seafood platter. It tasted ok and not as big potion you would expect for the price. Crayfish were quite blunt and prawns weren’t that fresh. Chicken goujon and chips are quite nice, but there are not vegetables for the kids. Pub itself is quite small, décor probably needs an update. Some customers there are quite loud and used inappropriate language around children. No parking for the pub but you can park nearby.
A Tuesday lunchtime...delightful, friendly staff and such good, reasonably priced food!! The chicken and ham pie was sensational, and Eton Mess (pictured) glorious. Also reasonable was the wine list (£20 for house red & white), though rosé a bit pricey.... Can't recommend this place enough!
